10 Fun Things To Do In Las Vegas With Teenagers
Are you visiting Las Vegas with teenagers and wondering if there are activities for them to do? These 10 fun things to do in Las Vegas with teenagers are awesome for adults too.
I took my 16-year-old to Las Vegas for the iHeartRadio festival as a birthday present. I was initially worried that Las Vegas would be too adult and too hot for her to enjoy. Instead, it was an incredible experience for both of us.
Las Vegas has become an entertainment destination for everyone; it’s so much more than gambling and bachelor parties. Looking for Las Vegas attractions for teens opened my eyes to a different side of Las Vegas. A side that is much more my scene than slot machines will ever be.
Teens in Las Vegas have art exhibits, arcades, amusement rides, botanical gardens, shopping experiences, and much more to occupy their days and nights. The only limit to what a teen can do in Las Vegas is their imagination and a few laws.

Meow Wolf Omega Mart

Meow Wolf Omega Mart is an interactive and immersive world set around a fictional supermarket run by DramCorp in the desert of Nevada. You can wander around aimlessly or discover secret passageways and mind-bending rooms while searching for storyline clues.
At 16, my teen devoured the storyline of Omega Mart and was scouring the area for clues. Putting it all together and picking a faction to side with takes hours and teamwork. I enjoyed unravelling the story just as much as she did. This is my number one Las Vegas attraction for teenagers, and everyone else, too.

Go to a Concert or Show

The iHeartRadio Festival is one of the fun things to do in Las Vegas with teenagers. It was full of pop stars that my teenager is into, including the over-the-top performance put on by The Weeknd, seen in the photo above.
Sitting in T-Mobile Arena listening to my teenager scream and shout for Doja Cat, Hozier, Halsey and a handful of other celebrities made me feel young again!
Many Las Vegas shows are teen-friendly. T-Mobile Arena allows minors unless otherwise noted for the event. If under 16, they must be accompanied by an adult. For The Sphere, it also depends on the event, but most are suitable for children over 6.
Shows are put on by most hotels on the strip and range from Cirque du Soleil to the New Kids On The Block. Check the age requirement for each show before you buy tickets.
Visit The Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street in old Las Vegas is a shopping arcade, meaning that it’s covered overhead. The dome ceiling has an LED screen with a light show. It’s protected from the weather, pedestrian-friendly and full of entertainment options for every age.
Visit in the daytime to avoid the rowdies. Watch some street performances, zipline over the crowd, or shop for souvenirs while soaking up that old Vegas feel. There was less glitz and more hustle on Fremont Street, and it felt kind of like a weird mall, but we enjoyed ourselves there. You will have a great time people watching.
Visit the Bellagio Hotel

The Bellagio has created a fairy wonderland just past the lobby on the main floor. The gardens feature woodland creatures, faeries and timepieces amongst vines, trees, and a pumpkin patch. It’s perfect for photo opportunities with your teen.
The best thing about this fun thing to do in Las Vegas with teens? It’s completely free. You don’t need tickets or timed entry.
A Bonus activity while you are at the Bellagio is to visit the famous fountain that puts on a light show every 30 minutes. The fountain area gets crowded, but its nice to catch the show at least once.

Go to the M&M Store

There is a 4-floor M&M store directly on the strip. My daughter spotted it from down the street. It’s a marketing genius with giant figurines and colourful everything. The top floor is where the M&M store gets good.
There are giant tubes of M&M dispensers coming down from the ceiling.
Every colour and flavour they have imagined is available. I barely eat sweets, and yet I found myself just as excited as my teen. Don’t get too excited at the start and fill your bag with too many different coloured milk chocolate ones, the odd flavours like coffee cold brew, and pretzel are hiding in the tubes on the end.
Eat at a Buffet

Who doesn’t love eating? Las Vegas buffets can either be a way to save money on a big meal or the most indulgent, extravagant thing you have ever done.
The Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan is one of the most decadent dining experiences of my life, and I’m so glad I got to share it with my teenager while in Las Vegas. There was so much variety that even the pickiest of eaters can be satisfied.
At Krazy Buffet in Las Vegas Chinatown, I embarrassed my teen while scarfing down all-you-can-eat crab, and we will both remember it forever.
Look Down on the Las Vegas Strip From An Amusement Park Ride

A few Las Vegas hotels have rides with a bird’s-eye view of the strip. We picked the High Roller Ferris Wheel at The Linq Hotel.
From the High Roller, I had a great view of the new Sphere and the rest of Las Vegas for miles. Bring a sweater; the air conditioning in my Ferris wheel pod was freezing.Â
The New York New York Hotel and the Strat Hotel feature thrilling roller coasters. Staying next door to New York New York, the screams from the roller coaster riders could be heard every time we stepped outside.
Have a Virtual Reality (VR) experience

Las Vegas has all kinds of virtual experiences. You can do individual rides, suit up and hunt zombies, be a racecar driver, and more.
We had this experience while visiting Fremont Street, but there are many other places to do VR in Las Vegas. There is a VR section in Area 15 that I wish I had known about when I planned our trip to Omega Mart. They have a fight an army of the dead simulation, and a floating in space experience that I would book next time.
Find the Location of Secret Pizza

Secret Pizza is a deliciously greasy pizza joint hidden down an unmarked hallway at the Cosmopolitan. If your teen loves pizza as much as mine, this scavenger hunt will be a fun Las Vegas activity for them.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel is also a swanky hotel to do some people watching in. Instead of grabbing a bar stool inside Secret Pizza, head out to one of the tables in the lobby and check out some of Las Vegas’s best-dressed.
Lounge by the Pool

Soak up the desert sun while spending a day relaxing at the pool. If you are on the Las Vegas Strip, chances are your hotel has a few pool options.
The Excalibur Hotel, where we stayed, offered 4 pools, with 3 of them being teen-friendly. Free pool loungers were available on a first-come, first-served basis. Even if you are not staying at Excalibur, they are one of the hotels where outside guests can rent a daybed and pretend.

These 10 fun things to do with teenagers in Las Vegas are based on my trip and what we had a great time doing. It barely scratches the surface of what Las Vegas has to offer.
We never left the city to explore the surrounding countryside. On my next visit, I would be sure to include the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and Area 51 on my list of things to do. Attending a Raiders game and catching a show at the Sphere would be great activities to do in Las Vegas with a teenager, too.
Attending the iHeartRadio music festival, eating at buffets, and taking in the Strip with my teenager was an amazing experience, and I’m so glad we did this trip.
I hope you have a great time in Las Vegas with your teenager, and this list helps you plan an awesome time.

Hi, I’m Felicia,

Hello! The Bellagio hotel looks gorgeous! I like the town of Bellagio in Italy. Probably, this hotel is named after it.
That is an awesome tidbit of information. I was unaware of the Italian town, thanks for sharing.
We don’t have kids, but I love these ideas. There are so many great things about Vegas, and you gave me a few ideas for places we haven’t been to yet.
Glad I could be of help. What’s your favourite place in Las Vegas?
The Bellagio hotel looks pretty cool and the buffet is mouth-watering. This was a lovely experience for your daughter, a happy birthday to her.
Thanks Lucia, it was a lovely experience for us both.
It’s been YEARS since I’ve been to Vegas. No teenagers though. We did Meow Wolf in Denver and loved it.
I would love to visit the other Meow Wolf locations!
Great list! I definitely wouldn’t want to miss Cirque du Soleil and a visit to the Bellagio Hotel! Those sound like unforgettable experiences for teens and adults alike. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for reading Anna. Las Vegas was awesome because there were so many magical experiences available in one place.
I wouldn’t normally think of doing Vegas with teens, but you’ve changed my mind! So many great activities to enjoy!
It was a concert that led us there but I’m really glad it did.
Looks like you had an awesome time! The secret pizza at the Cosmopolitan is sooo good! I have not been to Area 15 yet, but it’s on my list next time I’m there!
We did have an awesome time. Area 15 is full of fun things to do, I wish I’d spent more time there.
I’ve always wondered if my tween would like Vegas, and after reading this post – I’m confident he would!
Las Vegas has so much more to offer than just gambling. I’ve been 3 times to Las Vegas and keep seeing something new every time. The last time was with my 1-year old son, who is now a teenager, so we just need to return. He would love the Meow experience.
I can’t recommend Meow Wolf Omega Mart enough! Best experience for all ages.
I did not know there were so many fun things to do in Las Vegas with teenagers! My little cousins would love these! Specially the Meow Wolf!
There were so many fun activities for all ages and Meow Wolf was the highlight!
So many fun things to do in Las Vegas! Glad to see the Bellagio Hotel on this list – has been on my life list of things to do for a while.
One of the best things about the Bellagio garden and fountain is that it’s free!
My teenagers would have loved the VR experience and the food buffets. I would enjoy all of the places you mentioned too.
I’m still thinking about the buffets myself!
I love how genuinely unique these ideas are. VR is cool and I guess expected here, but then the addition of Bellagio Hotel and Meow Wolf Omega Mart (love this) take it to the next level!
Thank you! My daughter and I had such a blast in Las Vegas, there is so much more to do than gambling and partying.
The meow wolf experience looks amazing!
It was the highlight of my trip. I hope you get to experience it too!
Many years ago we were in Las Vegas with my now brother-in-law, who was under 21 at the time. We still had a ton of fun as there are plenty to do in Vegas. I enjoyed reading your list, there are many things on it that we didn’t do, so thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kitti, I’d love to hear yours!
My teen boys would love all of this- and I think the Meow Wolf sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing this list.
Awesome, hope you get to check it out soon.
If you can get around Vegas and avoid all the “adult” entertainment offerings, all the better for a great experience.
I always thought Vegas is just for gambling, now I know better
It’s really a city full of entertainment for everyone.
Love the idea of visiting the M&M store and creating a custom mix!
It was sinfully delicious.
Some of these are on my list of things to do in Las Vegas with my younger kids too! Lots of good ideas!
Thanks! I hope you have a great time!
Las Vegas had never been high on my list of places to go because I’m not into casinos and gambling. But, this post showed me that there’s so much more to Vegas than that! So many cool things to do.
I felt the same way before I decided to take my daughter to a music festival but then I discovered that vegas is bursting with fun activities.
I don’t have kids, but I’m loving these ideas for me, even as a solo traveller. Here in the UK, Vegas is often seen as ‘just casinos and shows’, but this post has shown me there’s so much more to experience – thank you!
I love that! Thanks you 🙂
